Habitat for Humanity International is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry. HFHI seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world, and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action.

Greater Fairbanks Area Habitat for Humanity promotes home ownership with volunteers building houses in partnership with Fairbanks area residents in need of adequate housing.

WE NEED MEALS AND GIFT BAG ITEMS ASAP!!

Global Village.

Global Village Teams are small groups of people who travel around the world to help out other Habitat for Humanity affiliates by working everyday for a week or two to build homes, or finish existing projects.  Teams have two major expences, one for travel, and the second for budgeting their trip.  Usually each team has $1700 to work with.  What ever money they don't spend while they are in town, goes to the Affiliate that they have chosen to travel to.
 
 
The Greater Fairbanks Area Habitat for Humanity needs your help! We have two Global Village teams coming this year to help build.  Bill and Ron are bringing a group of 18 volunteers August 1 - 10th.
 
We have Lodging at Zion Luthern Church for the second team in August.
We have 20 tkts donated from the River Boat Discovery for the second team in August.
Cots are available from the Red Cross.
 
We need everything else.

OUR Vans fell thru!!  We need 2 12 passenger vans for August 1st thru 10th!
 
If you can provide:
    *  a meal, lunch or dinner (or both), for a day while the team is in town
 
   *  donated gift bag items so that each team member recieves a small Fairbanks welcome (sample of coffee, stuffed animal, pen, Safeway gift card, sketch pad, u-lu, a round tu-it, moose nugget earings...etc..)
 
   *  donated/discounted passes to activities/ free canoe rentals/ passes to the Museum/ gas cards..etc..
